Elies Plana is a letterpress printer based in Santa Cristina d’Aro, Spain.

In the mid 90s soon after getting his Fine Art degree Plana started learning the craft of fine printing and letterpress. For 13 years he collaborated with his father and mentor, Miquel Plana, in his studio creating fine press books.

Throughout those years, he mastered in a wide range of techniques, such as movable type setting, printing with woodcut and linocut, etching plates, pachoir, in addition to editing and self publishing.

In 2004, he established his own private press, creating a seven volume collection of short stories with linocut illustrations. Since then, Plana has published a number of limited edition letterpress books in partnership with renowned poets and authors.

His editions are in both English and Catalan.
